I am a life long Nebraskan.  I was a first generation college student who graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.  I work Metropolitan Utilities District where I am the Director of Water Distribution. I also attended the University of Nebraska in Omaha graduating with an MBA. I have been married for 31 years and have two children.
  • I want to bring Liberty back.
  • I will aggressively look for abusive government spending.
  • The old parties need more competition.
I started to get involve in politics 30 years ago because of federal government debt and inflation. Both issues reduce our standard of living and reduce opportunity for our children. Neither party is concerned with these issues and actually seem to encourage it. If elected it will send a strong message that government excess needs to stop.
I worked at a small neighborhood motel doing a variety of small tasks like sweep the sidewalks. I started at the age of 13. I worked there, on and off, for about seven years. The name of the motel was the Leisure Inn.

I am a life long resident of Nebraska.  I grew up in south Omaha where I spent many hours playing baseball. I went to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and pursued a Civil Engineering degree.  I came back to Omaha and went to work for the Metropolitan Utilities District.  I spent almost my entire career helping to design and manage the water system for Omaha.  I also have an MBA from UNO, I have been married to my wife Cindy for 29 years and have two children - Jake and Abby. I have had an interest in politics and economics early on.    I was turned off by both of the old political parties and started looking for a new home when I discovered the Libertarian Party in the mid-90's.  I have been working for the party ever since. There are currently 17,000 registered Libertarians in the state.
  • We need to reduce the size and scope of government
  • The federal debt needs to be brought under control
  • Those who earn a paycheck are treated very unfair by the tax code.

Massive growth of government at all levels. As government grows and consumes or regulates more resources our standard of living may stop improving and actually decline.
It is suppose to be the greatest deliberative body in the world. Unfortunately, the polarization caused by duopoly and immense power it has due to the extremely large sums of money it controls has turned it into a place where special interest rule.
Having some experience is helpful. I spent several years growing a political party. This required understanding laws and regulations. Working with legislatures, executive branch offices, and regulators to achieve political goals.
The argument for filibuster is to slow the process. I don't see that happening. Government has grown excessively large.
Does the appointee appear to make decisions based on constitutional principals and existing law. Does the appointee appear to be a reasonable person in general.
Absolutely. This may be the biggest benefit voting for a viable third party candidate like myself. I may be able to reduce the polarization. At the very least electing me would send a message to the old parties that the current way of conducting themselves is unacceptable.
