Function
In 2015, the Washington State Legislature described the function of this committee as outlined below.
“ | The House General Government & Information Technology Committee considers issues relating to the organization and structure of state government, lean management, and audits of state government programs and agencies. The committee also considers issues relating to state information technology projects and the Office of Chief Information Officer, reviews budgets for general government, natural resources and corrections programs and agencies, and considers bills with limited fiscal impact relating to general government, natural resources and corrections.
