Geoffrey Neithercut was a judge for the 7th Circuit Court in Genesee County, Michigan. He was elected to this position in 1995.[1][2] He was re-elected in 2000, 2006, and 2012.[3] He retired on January 1, 2019.[4]

Education

Neithercut received his B.A. degree from Albion College in 1970 and his J.D. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1975. He also attended the Colgate-Rochester Divinity School in 1971 and 1972.

Career

Neithercut, prior to his judicial career, worked as a partner of the law firm of Neithercut, Klapp, Shegos & Dillard, where two generations of his family had practiced previously. He became a judge of the 68th District Court in 1986. He was the chief judge of that court from 1990 to 1994. He joined the circuit court bench in 1995.[1][2]

2012 election

Neithercut was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[5] [6]
