George A. Southworth was a district judge for the Third Judicial District in Idaho. He was appointed by Governor Butch Otter on January 9, 2013.[1] He was re-elected in May 2014 for a term that expires in January 2019.[2][3] He left office on December 28, 2021.

Education

Southworth earned his undergraduate degree from Idaho State University and his J.D. from the University of Utah Law School.[1]

Career

Before his appointment as a Third District Judge, Southworth was a magistrate court judge for the Third Judicial District in Canyon County, Idaho.[4]

Primary: He was elected without opposition in the primary on May 20, 2014.
