Ballotpedia biographical submission form
The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:
“ | What is your political philosophy?
I don't believe in politics. My goal is good governance. My guide is the writings left behind by America's Founders explaining why they invented our government as they did, e.g. Federalist Papers. Grin ... and thatworked well. My goal is to begin restoring honest adult intelligent debate and end today's dishonest polarizing squabbling over raw power. Mostly waged with mindless spitballs that reduce profoundly important questions to mud wrestling for a 50% -50% ungovernable election result. Because there is no America again until a solid majority agrees: to adopt decisions we all participate in making; in which none of us gets our own way; but none the less all pledge to honor. I believe Spin is just another word for lying. And I don't "Walk Back" anything. If wrong I admit it. If not, I defend it. if I'm not sure I say so. Favorite ideas: Intelligent people are attracted to discussion of ideas. Most of the time, most us discuss things, e.g. weather, sports, things to do. The ignorant like to talk about other people. A bigot is a person who categorizes other human beings according to a characteristic she or he didn't choose and cannot change. I believe we are all born equal with a right to individually judged by what we do. Therefore, if I am asked what are the three most important things to people you label Blacks, or Hispanics, or any other bloodline-base classification, my answer is always "Which one?". Unlike people akin to the former President or Al Sharpton, who always have an answer, for everyone they claim they speak for. I also despise the bloodline-based self-segregation mandated by the US Census question #6. Also Political Self-Censorship (PC). If America is to end the disunity of sorting humans into the color-coded boxes of the Progressives' Mosaic, it will require a return to America to being the Melting Pot in which metallurgists forge an ever better alloy from base metals. An alloy that keeps the best parts, rejects the slag, and ends up better than any of its parts. And more ... I mean I have spent over half a century preparing to serve in public office. So my principles are hard tested and rock solid. Just help me get through the Primary so I can put them to good use. glb PS to those who voted for President Trump as I did. Please don't ask what I think about him without reading my comment above discussing other people. I don't. But I can state these facts. To date he has not lied to me. And his priorities, policies, and negotiating skill are things I agree with and admire. One example, I know Western civilization is built on Separation of Church and State. I know Islam is built on State being the enforcement arm of Church. That's what "There is no law but God's Law" means. And I know those two foundational principles cannot co-exist. Therefore, I agreed with a temporary suspension of wide open access to the US from Islamic States. Is there anything you would like to add? Please help get me through the avalanche of candidates sucked into void created by the leaders of Hawaii's GOP driving it into the Grand Canyon of all ditches and functional irrelevance. (Of Hawaii's 85 key public offices, on 5 have occupants who claim even nominal affiliation with the Republican Party) That means it doesn't matter how well I'd do defending the belief that free Individuals acting independently made America great as a check and balance the Democrat belief that individuals are just cogs in a machine built by the political class to attain The Greater Good only they can see ... unless and until I get to the general election to face them. And getting there requires your help. Thank you.[2] |
