George Caldwell Taylor (1885-1952) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

He was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on May 24, 1928 to replace Xenophon Hicks. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 26, 1928 and received commission that same day. From 1948 to 1949, he was the chief judge. He assumed senior status on November 24, 1949 and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on December 19, 1952.[1] Taylor was succeeded in this position by Robert Taylor.
