George Cosgrave
George Cosgrave (1870-1945) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
He was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on March 12, 1930 to replace Edward Henning. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 8th of that year, and received commission that same day. On August 31, 1940, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on August 4, 1945. Cosgrave was succeeded in this position by Peirson Hall.
