George Cromwell Scott
George Cromwell Scott (1864-1948) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
He was nominated by President Warren Harding on February 16, 1922 to replace Henry Thomas Reed. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 21st, and received commission that same day. On November 1, 1943, he assumed senior status. He served until his death on October 6, 1948. Scott was succeeded in this position by Henry Graven.
