George Darany
George Darany is a former Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 15 from 2010 to 2017.
Darany did not seek re-election to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2016 because he was term-limited.
Darany served as a member of the Dearborn City Council from 2007 through 2010.
Biography
Darany earned his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. His professional experience includes working as the founder and owner of Classic Trolley Co.

Elections for the Michigan House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Incumbent George Darany was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Johnnie Salemassi was unopposed in the Republican primary. Darany defeated Salemassi in the general election.[5][6][7][8]

Darany won re-election in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 15. He ran unopposed in the August 7 Democratic primary and defeated Priscilla Parness (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[9]
2010
Darany won election to the District 15 seat in 2010. He defeated Stephen Dobkowski, Jr., Alex Shami and Linda Tafelski in the August 3 Democratic primary. He defeated Suzanne Sareini (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[10][11]
