|- People should vote for me because I have demonstrated my commitment to this community by having served in the military, as a police officer and as a servant leader. I have a heart for service, it is my true passion.
- I deliver. Since being on the board, District 3 has seen additional parks and green spaces added to the district. New schools have been added. A regional recreation center, new swimming pool, a new community resource center is on the way, as well as a new library. These are but a few things that I have delivered to the district, along with the many other things I have championed throughout MECKLENBURG county.
- I am asking the residents of District 3 to elect me to another term so that can continue to do the work of ensuring that your voice is at the table fighting for Affordable housing, keeping our community safe, ensuring that our children receive a high quality education and continuing to bring jobs to our community. I am asking for your vote.
Affordable housing is another area that I am passionate about. When I became Chairman 4 years ago, Mecklenburg County did not do affordable housing. With a change on the board, the board began investing in affordable housing. The need is great and we have a deficit of affordable housing units in our community. The board currently invest in Naturally occurring affordable housing, as well as investing in other developments to increase the number of affordable units. This year, the county is investing more than 20 million dollars into affordable housing.
