George F. Scully was a judge serving the Cook County Subcircuits (15th Subcircuit) in Illinois. Appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court in February of 2009 and elected in 2010, his term expired in 2016.[1][2]

Education

Scully earned a B.S. in finance and accounting from Northern Illinois University in 1970, going on to receive his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in 1981.[2]

Career

From 1997 until his judicial appointment in 2009, Scully served as an Illinois State Representative (80th District). Throughout his time as a legislator, he maintained a private law practice and also worked as an adjunct instructor at Governors State University.[2]

2010 election

Scully won the seat after running unopposed in the general election.[3][4]
