George Foley
George W. Foley, Jr. was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. He was appointed to this position in 2005. He retired on August 5, 2019.[1][2]
Education
Judge Foley received his B.A. degree in history from the University of Nevada in 1977 and his law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1980.[1]
Career
Judge Foley began his career as a private practice lawyer in a partnership with his father, George Foley, Sr. He then worked as a partner in the law firm Pearson, Patton, Shea, Foley & Kurtz until he was appointed to the U.S. District Court in 2005.[1]
