George La Plata (1924-present) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

La Plata was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on February 27, 1985, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333, 346; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 3, 1985, and received commission the next day. He served the Eastern District of Michigan until his retirement on August 3, 1996.[1] La Plata was succeeded in this position by Victoria Roberts. La Plata died on November 14, 2010.
