George Lynn Britton Jr. was a member of the Northside Independent School District in Texas, representing District 1.

Britton was the District 1 incumbent on the Northside Board of Trustees in Texas from 2003 to 2015.
Biography
Britton is a 1963 graduate of Marshall High School. He has a bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University and master's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. He taught math at Jay High School from 1967 until he retired in 2002 and math department chairman. He has two grown children.[1]

The general election on May 9, 2015, in the Northside Independent School District featured four seats up for election. In the District 1 race, challenger Joseph Medina defeated incumbent George Lynn Britton Jr. Gerald Brian Lopez, incumbent M’Lissa Chumbley and incumbent Bobby Blount were unopposed in Districts 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
