Elections
2012
Maragos ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing New York. He sought the nomination on the Republican ticket but did not appear on the primary ballot.[4]
Polls conducted prior to the June primary placed Maragos last in the Republican field.[1][5]
Maragos took a more conservative stance in the election. He criticized his opponents for not seeking to repeal New York's legalization of same-sex marriage.[6]
