George Okuda
George Okuda is a former Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 48 from June 13, 2014, to November 4, 2014. He was appointed by Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie to replace Jessica Wooley, who became the director of the Hawaii Office of Environmental Quality Control.[1]
Okuda did not seek re-election.[2]
Biography
Okuda's professional experience includes working as a licensed civil and structural engineer for the Hawaiian Electric Company and as a legislative aide for State Rep. Ken Ito. Okuda received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.[3]
Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits.
