George R. Greene
George Roy Greene was a judge of Judicial Circuit 26 in Russell County, Alabama.[1][2] After serving on the Bench for 34 years, Greene announced his retirement as of December 1, 2013. He was one of the longest serving judges in Alabama.[3]
Education
Greene received his J.D. from the University of Alabama. He was then admitted to the practice of law on September 26, 1975.[2]
Career
From 1979 to 1998, Greene served as the district judge for Russell County. He was appointed to the 26th Circuit in 1998 where he served until retirement in 2013.[4]
2010 election
Greene was re-elected to the Judicial Circuit 26 after running unopposed.[5]
