George Read Sage
George Read Sage (1828-1898) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
He received a recess appointment from President Chester Arthur on March 20, 1883 and was nominated on December 18th. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 7, 1884, and received commission that same day. He retired on August 24, 1898.[1] Sage was succeeded in this position by Albert Clifton Thompson. Sage died on November 19, 1898.
