George Russell
George Russell was a 2014 candidate for the Burnet County Court in Texas.[1] At the time of his candidacy, he served as the mayor of Marble Falls, a position he has held since 2009.[2]

Russell ran for election to the Burnet County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 28.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Linda D. Rogers and James Oakley.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, Russell faced Oakley in a runoff election on May 27. He was defeated in the runoff, receiving 33.6 percent of the votes.
Education
Russell earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas.[3]
Career
Russell was elected mayor of Marble Falls in 2008 and, at the time of his candidacy, served his third two-year term.[2]
