George Seaborough was a candidate for the board presidency of the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education in Georgia. He lost election against four other candidates in the general election on May 20, 2014.

Seaborough earned a B.S. in political science and a master's degree in public administration from Savannah State University. He has worked as an organizer for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and a field director for the Young Democrats of Georgia. At the time of his candidacy, Seaborough was serving as the president of the Twickenham Neighborhood Association.[1]

George Seaborough ran against Sadie C. Brown, Jolene Byrne, Chester A. Ellis and David Simons in the general election on May 20, 2014. Board president Joe Buck could not run for another term because of the seat's two-term limit.

Seaborough reported $8,045.00 in contributions and $3,606.11 in expenditures to the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, leaving his campaign with $4,438.89 on hand prior to the election.[2]

Endorsements

Seaborough earned endorsements from State Representatives J. Craig Gordon (D) and Mickey Stephens (D) ahead of the May 20, 2014 election.[3]
