Campaign website
Song’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
As a Korean American, he knows what it feels like to not have a seat at the table. He understands why immigrants want to come here. But he also acknowledges that our border crisis and illegal immigration compromises our nation’s security and presents an enormous drain on our public resources. “What does an open border with no rules say about my parents and other immigrants who worked so hard and followed the laws to live here?” As a family man and a small business owner, George empathizes with hard-working families and small business owners. We need to allow businesses and families to keep more of their income and revenue. Regulations, taxes, wage increases and rising healthcare costs all have a negative impact on the bottom line. And high inflation and interest rates make it difficult for Americans to purchase homes, cars, and to move upward to achieve their American dream. As an elected board of education trustee, George is in tune with the plight of students, parents and teachers. Closing down schools set our children back years. Student scores are down tremendously across the board. We must get them back to excellence by focusing on the core subjects, like Math, Writing, Reading, Science, that prepare them for success in the real world AND help parents fight back against the far-left’s woke agenda and highly inappropriate sex education curriculum. Serving his community is one of George’s main priorities. “I am blessed beyond measure. I want to give back in any way that I can and show that if I can do it, so can you.” As an auxiliary police officer and special law enforcement officer, George understands the rise in crime in our district. “The safety of our residents is of utmost importance for me. You deserve to feel safe in your neighborhoods. As a firefighter, George serves the needs of the community day and night and understands the importance of keeping our responders safe with the most up-to-date equipment and training. He will fight to get more federal grants and monies to our district. [2] |
