George Washington Lane
George Washington Lane (1806-1863) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama.
He was nominated by President Abraham Lincoln on March 26, 1861. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 28, 1861, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on November 12, 1863. Lane was succeeded in this position by Richard Busteed.
