Ballot title

The ballot title for Amendment 30 was as follows:

FOR ratification of Amendment of Article 7, Section 7, Paragraph 1, of the Constitution, so as to authorize the City of Gainesville, Hall County to enter into contracts and assume liabilities or obligations thereunder pertaining to hospitalization of the indigent sick, and for other purposes.

AGAINST ratification of Amendment of Article 7, Section 7, Paragraph 1, of the Constitution, so as to authorize the City of Gainesville, Hall County to enter into contracts and assume liabilities or obligations thereunder pertaining to hospitalization of the indigent sick, and for other purposes.

A two-thirds (66.67%) vote is required during one legislative session for the Georgia State Legislature to place an amendment on the ballot.
