The Georgia Homestead Exemption for Disabled Veterans and First Responders Measure is not on the ballot in Georgia as a legislatively referred state statute on November 3, 2026.[1]
This measure would have increased the homestead exemption for totally disabled veterans from a portion of the assessed value to the total assessed value of the home and created a homestead exemption for partially disabled veterans equal to the percentage of the disability rating. The measure would also have created a homestead exemption for totally disabled first responders in the amount of the total assessed value and 50% of assessed value for partially disabled first responders.[1]
