Georgia Representative resigns to focus on Congressional run

Atlanta, Georgia: Donna Sheldon (R) announced her resignation on August 26, 2013, to focus all of her energy on a bid for Georgia's 10th Congressional District. The election will take place on November 4, 2014. Current incumbent Paul C. Broun (R) is running for the United States Senate and thus will leave his Congressional seat. So far, three other Republicans have announced their bids for Georgia's 10th: Jody Hice, Bruce Williamson and Mike Collins (Georgia).[1]
