Elections for the Ohio State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Sandra Williams defeated Gerald Carver Henley and Willie Lewis Britt in the Democratic primary, while Sikiru Kafaru was unopposed in the Republican primary. Williams defeated Kafaru in the general election.[1]

Henley ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Ohio's 11th District. Henley lost to incumbent Rep. Marcia L. Fudge in the March 6, 2012, Democratic primary.[2]
