Gerald Eddins is the judge for the Jefferson County Court at Law No. 1 in Texas.[1] Eddins won election to the court in November 2012 after the retirement of Alfred S. Gerson, and he was sworn in on November 29, 2012.[2] Eddins is board certified in trial law. He was re-elected after running unopposed on November 4, 2014, for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Eddins received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University.[2]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Eddins worked in private practice for 34 years. He ran the Eddins & Bennett Law Firm LLP in Beaumont, Texas, alongside partner Barry Bennett.[2]
