Gerald I. Fisher
Gerald I. Fisher is an associate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court by President Bill Clinton in 2001.[1]
Education
Fisher received his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary in 1972 and his J.D. from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in 1977. Between earning his degree, Fisher played and coached basketball in Israel for one year. Before attending law school, he worked for the government of Arlington County.[1]
Career
Fisher began his law career as a clerk for Judge Walter Yeagley of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Next, he was a supervising attorney for the Criminal Division of the Law Students in Court Program for the Court of Appeals for five years. He helped establish the firm Fisher, Morin & Kagan-Kans, where he served until joining the court.[1]
