Geraldine Mund is a recalled federal bankruptcy judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Central District of California. She was appointed on February 9, 1984, reappointed for a second term on August 27, 1986, and a third term on August 27, 2000. Mund was elevated and served as chief judge from 1997 to 2002. She retired on February 9, 2011, succeeded by Judge Julia W. Brand. Mund has served the court on recall status since February 10, 2011.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Mund earned a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University and a J.D. from Loyola Marymount University.[5]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Mund worked from 1977 to 1984 as a private practice attorney in Beverly Hills, California.[2]
