Geraldo Reyes (Democratic Party) is a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 75. He assumed office on April 28, 2016. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Reyes (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 75. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Representative Reyes graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in industrial technology management and holds an associate degree in industrial technology from Waterbury State Technical College. Reyes has served on the Greater Waterbury NAACP Executive Board, the Neighborhood Housing Services Executive Board, the Loyola Development Executive Board, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury Executive Board, and the Salsa, Inc. Board of Directors. He has received community service awards including the Waterbury Observer’s Best Community Activist in both 2014 and 2015 and LUPA’s 2014 Top 50 Most Influential Latinos in Connecticut.
Representative Reyes was first elected to represent District 75 in the Connecticut House of Representatives in 2016. In the 2019 session he served as Deputy Majority Leader, vice chair of the Transportation Committee, and member of the Environment Committee, the Commerce Committee, and the Appropriations Committee.[1]

Special election
A special election for the position of Connecticut House of Representatives District 75 was called for April 26. Candidates were nominated by their parties rather than through primaries.[3]
The seat was vacant following Victor Cuevas' (D) resignation on March 8, 2016. He resigned because of a federal investigation into a home loan that he helped his son with.[4]
Geraldo Reyes (D) defeated Raymond Work (R), and Lisa Lessard (I) in the special election.[5][6][7]
