This measure sought to renew the current senior levy which is set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for maintenance costs of senior facilities in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of German Township (incorporated and unincorporated area) for the purpose of PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICES OR FACILITIES at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
