Gerry Fleuriet was the Place 1 incumbent on the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District board of trustees in Texas. First elected in 1996, Fleuriet won an additional term after running unopposed on May 6, 2017.

Fleuriet is a former elementary teacher, having also served as a banking officer. She is a founder and vice president of the international EMS Harlingen Community Emergency Care Foundation. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she was also a member of honorary education associations Kappa Delta Epsilon and Kappa Pi. She is married to husband E. R. Fleuriet; they have two adult children.[1]

Two of seven seats on the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District board of trustees in Texas were up for by-district general election on May 6, 2017. Incumbents Gerry Fleuriet and Javier De Leon filed for re-election and were unopposed for Place 1 and Place 2, respectively. Due to lack of opposition the election was canceled, and Fleuriet and De Leon were automatically re-elected.[2][3]
