I’m Gerry Monroe. People call Me The 5 Star General. I’m a lifelong Houstonian. I Graduated from Jack Yates Sr High. I’m currently a Senior at Lamar University Majoring in Criminal Justice. I’m the change that HD 131 Needs. I’m for family, pro-life, and I stand on my Christian Values.
  • Let’s fix education in the state of Texas. No Mask Mandates and No CRT and Porn in our schools.
  • Lower Taxes for all Texans
  • Protect our Borders
1. I’ve very interested in protecting our borders. To many times violent criminals have breached our border and committed violent crimes.

2. Unmask our Children in schools. Follow the Governor’s orders.

3. No Critical Race Theory in Our Schools

4. We must lower taxes for all Texans

5. Pass more laws to protect voter integrity

6. The state of TEXAS needs tougher crime laws
I look up to no man. My lord and savior Jesus Christ is whom I most admire. His sacrifices afford me the ability to live daily.
Honesty and integrity. I’m not trying to go to Austin to get rich. I want to help my community and all Texans. So being honest is the only way to do that.
That I never gave up when fighting for the people.
I was a janitor at 16 years old at The YMCA. I worked there for 3 Summer
I don’t struggle, I get the job done.
It has to be a feasible working relationship. The common sense approach normally works. Doing what’s best for all Texans will allow that relationship to grow.
There are several. Fixing education is a must. At the moment our educational component is in shambles. We have to give these children a fighting chance.
No just the desire and ability to fix the problems from a comm sense approach.
You have to. You also have to have the ability to understand that most people don’t know everything. So developing a good relationship with your colleagues is a must. It makes the work easier.
The current process works fine for me.
I like the work that State Reps James White and Harold Dutton have been doing.
How parents are being treated at school board meetings. The disrespect has forced me to become their voice. I’m not afraid to speak for our children.
Why did the chicken cross the road. I don’t know but the chicken I had last night just might be him.
To a certain extent. Being able to work with level headed people can help get policy passed. Understanding we won’t win every battle but we have to win the war is a must
