A measure to ratify the 2020 General Plan was on the ballot for Gilbert voters in Maricopa County, Arizona, on August 4, 2020.[1] It was approved.

A "yes" vote supports ratifying the 2020 General Plan passed by the city council.

A "no" vote opposes ratifying the 2020 General Plan passed by the city council, thereby leaving the 2010 General Plan in place.


A simple majority vote was required for the approval of Proposition 430.

Proposed ratification of the 2020 Gilbert General Plan by the voters[2]

Descriptive title

The official descriptive title on the ballot was as follows:[1]

Proposal to the voters for ratification of the 2020 Gilber General Plan, as adopted by the Town Council on February 4, 2020, Resolution No. 4114. The 2020 Gilbert General Plan is a statement of land development policies that sets forth objectives, principles and standards for growth and redevelopment.

A 'YES' vote shall have the effect of approving the 2020 Gilbert General Plan.

A 'NO' vote shall have the effect of not approving the 2020 Gilbert General Plan and retaining the General Plan 2010.[2]
