In her free time, Gina focuses on making McLennan County stronger. She is the board Secretary at the Dr Pepper Museum, volunteers with Isaiah 117 House, and supports foster care through Arrow Child & Family Ministries. Gina and Chet also have personally experienced the foster and adoption process with the adoption of their son after 20 months of foster care. She has led local efforts through Habitat for Humanity, served as a mock trial coach for students, and now supports her children's school as PTO vice president.
Professionally, Gina brings deep courtroom experience and a passion for justice. As a civil litigator with Harrison Davis Morrison Jones P.C., she manages cases from intake through appeal, including jury trials in the 170th District Court. Her earlier service as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney included more than 45 jury trials and oversight of hundreds of felony cases. She also shares her knowledge as an adjunct professor at Baylor University, teaching criminal law.- The 170th District Court has general jurisdiction including jurisdiction over criminal felony case, civil cases, especially those with mountain controversy over $200,000, juvenile matters, and family law cases like divorce. Gina’s extensive experience across criminal and civil law is of upmost importance to her ability to serve in the role of 170th District Court Judge. McLennan County is in need of another judge that can preside over felony criminal cases. With no room on a criminal docket jail inmates are costing taxpayer dollars every day they are held while awaiting trial. Only Gina is qualified to help move the criminal docket and clear the backlog caused by lack of court resources.
- Judges must be held to follow the law as written and cannot legislate from the bench or circumvent the law to cater to their own preferences. Gina believes in protecting the constitution and applying the law as written to the facts of each case. Everyone who walks into her courtroom will know that they will be treated with respect and equality.
- Gina is the unanimous choice of law enforcement and first responders. With endorsements from Police and Fire associations across McLennan County and the State of Texas she is the candidate trusted by those we trust to keep us safe and secure.
