Ginger Bryant is the District 2 representative on the Citrus County Schools Board of Education in Florida. Bryant sought and won another term when the county's filing deadline passed and no other candidate filed in the race. The election was canceled and Bryant was automatically re-elected.

Bryant's biography on the Citrus schools website states the following:

Ginger Bryant was born and raised in Citrus County. She graduated from Crystal River High School, Central Florida Community College (previously Central Florida Junior College) and the University of Florida. She has been married to Nick Bryant for 50 years and has three children and nine grandchildren.

After devoting 30 years to the classroom, she was elected as a School Board Member in 2000. Her love of children continues to motivate her everyday.[1]

One of the five seats on the Citrus County Schools Board of Education was up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. Three newcomers filed for the open District 4 seat: Sandy Counts, Kevin Maloney, and Bill Murray. Counts and Murray advanced to the general election because neither candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote during the primary election on August 30, 2016. Counts won the general election. The District 2 seat was originally set to be on the primary ballot, but incumbent Ginger Bryant was unopposed in her bid for re-election and was automatically re-elected when the filing deadline passed.[3]
