Gino grew up in the Dallas area and graduated with honors (Order of the Coif) from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was on the Texas Law Review’s Editorial Board (Articles Editor). Gino interned at the Texas Supreme Court during law school, clerked for a U.S. District Judge, and worked as a Staff Attorney at the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth. He lives in Irving with his wife of 25 years, Rita, and 5 children ages 13 to 21.

Gino's practice focuses on appeals. He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law. Gino is an experienced, hard-working, thoughtful attorney who cares about getting it right and will make every decision in a fair and even-handed manner. He is an active member in the Dallas Bar Association and Texas Bar Association and serves as Treasurer on the Board of the Texas Bar’s Civil Liberties and Civil Rights section. Gino has volunteered with Christian faith-based organizations since before law school, including serving as a full-time youth volunteer for two years. Since returning to the Dallas area, Gino has served with the Dallas Housing Crisis Center and worked with different church programs for men, marrieds, and youth.

Gino will bring consistency, predictability, and fairness for all. His conservative judicial approach means no legislating from the bench, ever. "I believe an appellate judge's role is to interpret the law as written and apply it to the facts before the court, with no favoritism to either party." ww.Gino4Justice.com
  • Gino is qualified and experienced. Gino graduated Order of the Coif from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. He interned with a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court, clerked with a U.S. District Judge, and worked as a Staff Attorney at the Second Court of Appeals. Gino has decades of legal experience, mainly in civil litigation and appeals and also including as a criminal prosecutor. Gino is the only candidate in this race who (1) specializes in civil appeals, (2) regularly practices before the Fifth Court of Appeals, (3) is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Appellate Law, and (4) is designated "QUALIFIED" by the non-partisan non-profit Committee for a Qualified Judiciary. www.cqjdallas.org
  • Gino will apply the law and not legislate from the bench, ever. Before serving on this court, each Justice takes an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and law of the United States and Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, meaning the ratified or enacted written instruments. In addition, our constitutional system is based on three branches of government, each with their own part to play, and the roll of the judiciary does not include enacting laws or ratifying constitutional provisions. Accordingly, Gino’s approach to interpreting the law begins with, and endeavors to remain faithful to, the text of legislative enactments and the public meaning of the text of the constitution when ratified. www.Gino4Justice.com.
  • Gino is fair and impartial. Gino strongly believes that all people are of inestimable worth, and all deserve to be treated fairly and with dignity. The roll of Justice on the Fifth Court of Appeals is that of servant to all, hard-working and conscientious, treating all equally regardless of background or belief. Although our legal system produces “winners” and “losers,” everyone should receive a fair hearing in court. Gino will fairly and impartially apply the law to the facts before the court, for everyone.
