Giselle Lopez-Soler is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. She assumed office on January 8, 2021.

Biography

Education

Lopez-Soler obtained a B.A. in psychology from Tufts University, an M.A. in psychology from New York University, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.[1]

Professional career

From 2004 to 2006, Lopez Soler was a law clerk for the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico to Judge Salvador Casellas. In 2006, she joined Pietrantoni, Méndez & Alvarez, LLC, as an associate in the litigation department. Before her appointment as a federal magistrate judge, she worked in solo practice, with a focus on civil and commercial litigation, intellectual property, and bankruptcy matters.[1]

Giselle Lopez-Soler joined the District of Puerto Rico as a federal magistrate judge on January 8, 2021.
