Candidate Connection

Glen Stuckel completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Stuckel's responses.

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

First is always public safety, Westport Road experiences heavy Traffic during rush hour. That's why Councilwoman Leet and I spent $100,000 for a traffic study, wth input from the residents that boarder Westport. But KY Transportation has the last word because Westport Road is a state highway. We continue to synchronize the traffic lights to make traffic move more efficiently. My roads and sidewalks are rated the best in the county Second is parks and recreation. I'm blessed with the pearl of the east end, E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. Over the years I've initiated Louisvilles largest Dog Park, Community gardens, the Olympic BMX Track, a Kiddee splash facility, and world class cross country courses. I've also funded playgrounds at Malcolm Chancy and Zachary Taylor Schools, and am currently working on funding a Handicap playground at Malcolm Chancy. I've also funded the $500,000 renovation of Hounz Lane Park and just added $65,000 3 pickle courts to the Tennis Courts Lastly, I believe firmly in fiscal responsibility. My office expences are the lowest of ALL Council Districts, and I've returned hundreds of thousands of dollars back to the Metro General Fund park,
