Two seats on the Glendale Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on April 7, 2015.

Only one incumbent, Nayiri Nahabedian, ran for re-election. She faced challengers Kevin Cordova-Brookey, Jennifer Freemon, Todd Hunt and Vahik Satoorian.[1][2] Nahabedian and Freemon won election to the board.[3]

Nahabedian filed a lawsuit to get on the ballot for the general election on April 7, 2015. Her nomination papers were originally rejected by the Glendale City Clerk's Office as she filed them after the incumbent deadline on January 29, 2015. The City Clerk's Office had sent an email to potential candidates on January 28, 2015, telling them the deadline would be extended to February 3, 2015. Nahabedian received that email and filed her papers during the extended filing period, not knowing the deadline was only extended for non-incumbents, according to her lawsuit. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge sided with Nahabedian, allowing her to run in the election.[4][5]
