As a 29 year homeowner in District 4, I love our City of Cypress! My wife and I raised our three daughters in this city and area schools.

I have been participating in City Council meetings for the last several years. Our city has an excellent track record of community safety, healthy finances, well-maintained streets, great parks, low tax rates, and zero external debt. I will continue this legacy of strong leadership. I will apply my aerospace experience in engineering and supplier management and my successful business owner experience for the benefit of our City of Cypress. I have developed a reputation as a bridge-builder, bringing together people with differing viewpoints to craft the best solution. We want to keep our city efficient and effective. I served on the Cypress Senior Citizens Commission, conducting and analyzing our survey of seniors, overseeing the major remodel, and celebrating the 30th anniversary of our Cypress Senior Center.

My decades of volunteering with SeaCoast Grace Church, Boys and Girls Club, and Heart of the City are evidence of my caring and involvement throughout our city.
  • Community safety is my top priority. We must support our First Responders with the staffing, the equipment, and the policies which they need to confidently do their job.
  • With Cypress' excellent track record of accomplishments provided by our community leaders and city staff, including recent awards for our development and for our finances, we must carefully assess community input from residents and businesses before embracing any foundational change in how our city is run.
  • I will safeguard our Commissions from being fragmented into Districts. Our residents favor Commissioners being selected for their experience, qualifications, and character, rather than by their address in the city.
Originating from my experience in engineering and as a business owner, I will always work to implement policies which make our city more effective, more efficient, and more accessible to our residential and business community.
I am inspired by leaders in business and government. These include George Washington, Patrick Henry, Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan, Henry Ford, and many others. Their selfless service, courage, innovation, determination, and lasting legacy are worth emulating.
Integrity (aligning what an official does with what they say) and communication (listening to all viewpoints in our community and sharing factual information) are the most essential characteristics of any elected official.
While some City Council meetings have been contentious, my experience as a relational bridge-builder will bring a calming voice of reason, allowing our focus to remain on doing what is best for our fine city.
While prioritizing strategic investments in community safety and in our infrastructure, I will staunchly defend our city finances (your tax dollars). I will strive to listen to and understand all perspectives on issues which come before our city, to make the decisions which provide the greatest benefit to our city.
I am endorsed by community leaders throughout Cypress, including a majority of our current City Council, several past Mayors, and Commissioners from each of our Commissions. Also endorsed by the OC Professional Firefighters Association, the OC Republican Party, Michelle Steel, Janet Nguyen, Craig Huey / Restoring the California Dream, Nancy's Picks, and many others which are listed on my campaign website.
At the top of the organization chart for our city is our residents. The Cypress budget and its generous reserve is a result of careful stewardship and has won awards for its transparency. It is published on the City of Cypress website in detailed form and in summary. Our city values holding our elected City Council Members accountable for the decisions and direction of our city.
