Glenn Norton
Glenn A. Norton was a judge for the Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. He was appointed to the court by former Democratic Governor Bob Holden in May 2002 and retained by voters in 2004. His last term was set to expire on December 31, 2016, however, Norton retired from the bench in February 2015.[1]
Education
Norton received his B.A. degree in English from Westminster College in 1982 and his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1985.[1]
Career
Before becoming a judge, Norton worked as a private practice lawyer and served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Ralls County and as the chief legal counsel to former Governor Bob Holden. He was elected as an associate circuit judge for Ralls County (10th Judicial Circuit) in 1994, a position he held until his appointment to the Missouri Court of Appeals in 2002.[1]
