Glenn Nye was a Democratic member of the U.S. House representing the 2nd District of Virginia.[1]

He was defeated by Republican Scott Rigell on November 2, 2010, when he ran for re-election.[2]

Nye raised $1.58 million while Rigell raised $2.75 million in campaign contributions.[3]

Frequency of Voting with Democratic Leadership

According to a July 2010 analysis of 1,357 votes cast from January 1, 2009 to June 16, 2010, Nye has voted with the House Democratic leadership 86.3% of the time.[4] That same analysis reported that he also voted with party leadership 83.7% of the time in 2010.

Washington Post Analysis

A separate analysis from The Washington Post, concluded that he votes 83.9% of the time with a majority of Democrats in the House of Representatives.[5]
