My name is Goodwill Obieze, and I am running to be your servant as a State Representative for District 48. I am a second-generation American who migrated 13 years ago to America from a small village in Nigeria West Africa. I am the oldest of three who grew up with a single mother working a minimum wage job to make sure we had a great life growing up. While in Nigeria as a teenager, I was not privileged to have access to electricity or good drinking water or any healthcare.
  • Access to affordable Healthcare by regulating Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM) which will reduce significantly the cost of health premiums.
  • Goodwill believes that the current state minimum wage ($7.25 an hour) is a poverty wage and wants to increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
  • Access to equal housing is a fundamental human right.
Goodwill recognizes that mental health is in a state of emergency in Wisconsin. Working with other stakeholders in making adequate funds available to ensure that mental health is a priority in Wisconsin.

I also believe that collectively, we can eliminate homelessness in our state. Working with tenants and landlords to remove unnecessary pre-rent requirements.
I believe that elected officials are first, a servant to the people.
I worked as a Cashier at Wendy's restaurant

I believe that government should be transparent and be held accountable for their actions.
