Google News Feed Search Results on Ballotpedia Articles

From Ballotpedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Many of Ballotpedia's encyclopedic articles contain a section that automatically displays the most recent Google news feed search results for terms related to the topic. Ballotpedia includes these sections as a way of providing additional information and tools to readers interested in exploring topics further.

Some of the stories contained within the Google news feed section might not be relevant to the article due to the nature of Google's news search engine. For example, the news feed for a page covering someone or something with a common name, such as Jane Doe, might include stories about the intended subject—a Jane Doe from Wisconsin—as well as stories about all other individuals or groups with the same name—such as Jane Does from other states.

The Google news feed results displayed on an article should not be construed as the most comprehensive list of stories on that subject. In the sample news feed below for the search term "Ballotpedia," for example, Google news feed search results show stories in which Ballotpedia is mentioned, even though the number of news stories Ballotpedia has been mentioned in—or articles Ballotpedia has recently produced itself—are not necessarily represented there as well.

If you have any concerns or questions about some results on a page, please email us.
