Gordon Burns
Gordon Burns is a judge for Division 5 of the California 1st District Court of Appeal. He assumed office in 2018. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Burns ran for re-election for the Division 5 judge of the California 1st District Court of Appeal. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
On November 27, 2018, Gov. Jerry Brown (D) appointed Burns to succeed Justice Terence L. Bruiniers. The California Commission on Judicial Appointments confirmed Burns' appointment on December 21, 2018.[1][2]
