Gordon James Russell (1859-1919) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

He was nominated by President William Howard Taft on May 27, 1910 to fill the seat vacated by David Ezekiel Bryant. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 6, 1910, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on September 14, 1919.[1] Russell was succeeded in this position by William Lee Estes.
