Gurr's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[2]

  • Excerpt: "District 25 deserves better representation. Whatever your party affiliation, as a Republican, I can represent you more effectively in the Utah Legislature. I can be a voice for you in the Legislature and an advocate for you in local government. Together, we can help increase bus service for the area, increase air quality, increase funding for education and accept the Governor's Healthy Utah Plan."

Elections for the Utah House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Incumbent Joel Briscoe was unopposed in the Democratic convention. William Lee was defeated by Gordon Lund Gurr in the Republican convention. Briscoe defeated Gurr in the general election.[1]
