Gov. Kasich appoints judge in Cuyahoga County
November 29, 2011
Ohio: Yesterday, Governor John Kasich announced the appointment of Annette G. Butler to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Butler replaces Jude Timothy J. McGinty, who resigned on October 31 after eighteen years on the court.[1]
Butler has been an assistant U.S. Attorney for almost twenty-five years for the Northern District of Ohio. Following the appointment, Butler must compete in the 2012 judicial election for the seat. If she is elected, she will serve the remainder of her predecessor's unexpired term, which ends in 2017.
