The Government Accountability and Oversight Committee is a former standing committee of the Washington House of Representatives.

Function

In 2014, the Washington State Legislature described the function of this committee as outlined below.

The House Government Accountability & Oversight Committee considers issues relating to the organization and structure of state government, lean management, and fiscal and performance audits of state government programs and agencies. The committee also considers issues relating to the regulation and oversight of liquor, tobacco, gambling and marijuana.
